Did you know that globally, more than 264 million people of all ages suffer from depression.
What a lot of people don't know, is that depression is classified as a mood disorder. It causes feelings of sadness and a loss of interest. It can also be described as feelings of anger that interfere with a person’s everyday activities and can cause lower productivity.
While depression may affect many people, it can be difficult to recognize the signs in yourself and even others.
Here are it's signs :
TURNING DOWN ACTIVITIES YOU USUALLY LOVE: You begin to have little interest in things that you enjoyed.
YOU ALWAYS FEEL EXHAUSTED: Having little energy is a sign of low mood.
YOU LASH OUT AT OTHERS: You are also likely to become angry at those around you.
YOU CAN HAVE BOTH GOOD DAYS AND BAD DAYS: You can still have more good days than bad days - this doesn't mean that you aren't suffering from depression.
UNUSUAL SLEEP AND EATING HABITS: You might find that you can't get to sleep.
ACTING RECKLESSLY: You can turn to reckless behavior to cope with what's happening.
People experience depression in different ways. Do you have any other signs that may not be listed above?
