Energy Draining Habits from an Award-Winning Anxiety Therapist and Coach
I often remind my clients of a simple but powerful truth: you are the product of your habits.
Whether it’s how you start your morning, the thoughts you repeat throughout the day, or the routines you return to when life gets overwhelming — your daily habits form the foundation of who you are, both personally and professionally.
Our habits determine not just what we do, but how we feel.
So if you’ve been struggling with low energy, chronic fatigue, or just a sense of being “off,” I encourage you to look at your habits.
Often, what we call burnout or lack of motivation is actually the result of unhealthy, unconscious patterns that have quietly become our norm — poor sleep routines, skipped meals, constant phone scrolling, self-critical thoughts, or saying “yes” when we really need to say “no.”
But here’s the good news: habits are changeable.
Before we can shift them, we first need to build awareness. Notice the habits that drain your energy. Get honest about what’s no longer serving you.
Once you identify those patterns, you can begin to replace them with ones that align with the version of yourself you’re ready to become — habits that support your mental clarity, physical vitality, and emotional resilience.
You don’t need to change everything overnight. Start with small, intentional shifts. Remember: every choice you make today is a vote for the person you want to be tomorrow.
